Who is considered to be a #startup? What is the eligibility criteria? How can the government pass on the various benefits for startups without first knowing who startups are? To answer these fundamental questions, "Nepal Startup Abhiyan," a movement initiated by #CNI & #CNIYEF hosted a startup symposium in the presence of CNI President Mr. Vishnu Agarwal, Mr. Kewal Prasad Bhandari, Secretary of National Planning Commission, Mr. Niraj Giri, Executive Director, SEBON and stakeholders including investors, startup founders, legal, academia, banking and others.
The conclusion from the discussion was there is an urgent need to define a startup mainly for the government's purpose. And this will be a start on its own.
